Cascade Clamps - Cascade Manufacturing Company was founded in Portland, Oregon in 1943. They began as a small machine shop at first hiring 4 individuals. Product sales for their first year of operation amounted to about sixty thousand dollars. The first recorded sales revenues involved the assembly and machining of stainless-steel pipe fittings, valves and other parts. Within 5 years of operation, the company had stretched to forty workers and their annual sales volume had increased to 330 thousand dollars. At present, Cascade is one of the top worldwide makers in the material handling trade.

Design and manufacturing of the company's first hydraulic cylinder allowed this young business to aggressively engage in better business possibilities. All through the final 60 years, the industry of material handling has grown into a very sophisticated area with Cascade proudly playing a part in its growth. Cascade at the moment continues to grow as the premier supplier of lift truck accessories and different associated products. The company feels certain in their ability to be able to continue to lead the way in the business by understanding client's needs in the future and remaining competitive in the international market.

In the 1950's, Cascade began designing, fabricating and advertising hydraulic attachments. Construction was finished in 1956 on a new facility to house all office and plant operations in Portland, Oregon at the company's current headquarters. After fifteen years of business, total employees reached one hundred eighty workers and sales had reached nearly 2.3 million dollars.

The next manufacturing plant was built in 1959 in Springfield, Ohio. The year 1960 marked Cascade's initial transfer into the global world of the material handling industry as the business recognized interest in Australia, the Netherlands and England.

In the year 1964, the company altered its name to the Cascade Corporation. Afterward in 1965, the business went public with an initial offering of two hundred thousand shares of common stock. Since then the business has expanded its manufacturing services within the continental US to the locations Warner Robins Georgia to go along with its already present plants in Portland, Oregon and Springfield, Ohio. Cascade products are manufactured globally because of a lot of subsidiary operations. In 1994, a new plant was completed in Almere, the Netherlands which is Cascade's European control center. This facility is made to be the essential customer support centre.

Cascade further expanded their product base in the year 1996 and the year 1997 subsequent to buying five corporations, which included the Kenhar Corporation, the global best in blades.
